Last Sunday November 30, 2008, BCC baptized 9 candidates who have demonstrated their seriousness in their personal walk with God, some of who went through a 2month Discipleship School in October and November. At the baptizing site, it was wonderful to preach a crowd of onlookers who had turned out to either fetch water or to do their laundry. Praise God, one person indicated her willingness to accept Jesus into her life for the very first time. The next baptizing comes up Sunday December 28, at 7am.

After having taken the discipleship lessons for more than a month now, these candidates took the lesson on Baptism and they understood what it meant to be buried with Christ in baptism and they willingly demonstrated the need to publicly confess that they are now children of God. It was a wonderful Sunday morning at the site of baptism where so many inhabitants came to wash their clothes and others to fetch water for drinking and cooking. After a short evangelistic word, one young man openly indicated his need to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Children are a gift from God and blessed is the man whose quiver is full with them. Jack and Julius Wamei are the two miraculous children born to Br Alfred and Sr Delphine who are very committed members and leaders of BCC.
As early as 6am on Saturday Sept. 20, 2008, members of the Buea Community Church were gathered around the Bonduma village area for community work. Along the main highway that passes through the town of Buea, about 25 people including men, women, youths and children were present to clear the huge debris that had blocked the drainage system of the public road. It was a an exciting time and some people who have never down such jobs before were happy doing so for the sake of Jesus.
