BCC blessed with twins

October 11, 2008 by

Children are a gift from God and blessed is the man whose quiver is full with them. Jack and Julius Wamei are the two miraculous children born to Br Alfred and Sr Delphine who are very committed members and leaders of BCC.

These twin children were named in honor to Ps Jack and Br Julius who played key roles in the launching of the Buea Community Church.

These wonderful kids came out by the miraculous hand of God. The kids, mother and father are doing pretty great.

Check out for the pictures of these two great nations on this link. You can be a blessing to these children.

BCC launches LifesGroups

October 11, 2008 by

Growth is part of the natural life of a child and a healthy growth of a child is a great joy to its parents. As part of the church plant project, BCC is committed not only in preaching to the many who attend church services on Sundays but also, taking the Gospel from the four walls of the church building to where the people are, that is, in their homes and quarters.

It is for this reason that BCC took upon herself to launch home fellowships known as “Life Groups” last Monday Sept. 8 and Tuesday Sept. 9 at Simon and Joe’s residence situated along Paramount Hotel street in Molyko and at Ps Genesis residence behind the Chief’s house in Bonduma, Buea respectively.

2 more were launched the following week, at Mr. Lyonga’s in Upper Bonduma Village and at Ma Kale’s in Sandpit on Monday Sept. 15 and Friday Sept.19 respectively. BCC looks forward to planting the fifth today Saturday Oct. 11, at Br Alfred’s house in Clerks’ quarters. It is our prayer to see the church grow as a family through these LifeGroups.

Community impact through participatory development

October 9, 2008 by

As early as 6am on Saturday Sept. 20, 2008, members of the Buea Community Church were gathered around the Bonduma village area for community work. Along the main highway that passes through the town of Buea, about 25 people including men, women, youths and children were present to clear the huge debris that had blocked the drainage system of the public road. It was a an exciting time and some people who have never down such jobs before were happy doing so for the sake of Jesus.

We all gathered later in the evening at 7pm at the Senior Pastor’s house for games and evening relaxation as a family. Find out more in this picture link below.

4 Baptized at BCC

September 28, 2008 by Pastor Genesis

On Sunday September 28, 2008 4 disciples of Jesus were baptized.

It was a wonderful time as we had to hire a taxi all tthe way to the Bokova watters that are much deeper than thte Ndongo waters where we have done Baptism in the past.

We are planning to build the Ndongo stream in a way that will ease collection of water for home useand also be used for things like baptism.

It is worth noting that the Ndongo stream is so importtant to the people of Buea because when piped water is gone (and tthat happens very oftten) everyone depends on Ndongo.

12 graduate from the 2nd School of Discipleship

September 27, 2008 by

Shortly after the graduation  of students from the first edition of the School of discipleship on August 29th, about 30students were registered for the second edition of the School which ran throughout the month of September.

At the end of the school, 12 new believers and some members from other churches went through the discipleship curriculum that was designed by the Buea Community Church.

It is worth noting that most of those who successfully go through the school catch some fire for multiplying and invest themselves in others.
